Where is your focus?

Science tells us that our brains have something called a reticular activating system (RAS) which is something like antennas on a Tv set that catches the frequency we tune on our Tv sets.

So, we see the channel that is transmitted through the antennas and ignore the other channels…unless ofcourse when we change the frequency the channel changes….

Same is true for life as well …..

There are so many potential realities like poverty, bad relationships, recession, anger, deception or abundance, honesty, fulfilling relationships , love so on and so forth..

Depending on what we are tuning for , our antennas will catch and will show us as “REALITY” .

This system tends to lock in and only see what our belief system accepts as reality .

What we don’t believe we can’t see….

The good news is , once we become aware of these “antennas” we can always change the frequency and can tune in to the one we want!

So, next time if you don’t like what’s showing up in your life ask :

What can i focus on in this situation which would help me to see what i am looking for?

and trust that your mind will find something positive to learn from every apparent negative!!

Is your day the same everyday?

When everyday is the same and nothing seems to be interesting in life then it is time to STOP And THINK

The fact that everyday is the same means that we havent taken time out from life to appreciate the daily miracles that occur in our lives..

So, when you feel bored or frustrated in life it is actually good thing because discontent comes before a positive life change and that is the time to start questioning….

What is it that i really want, that if i got it, i would be happy?

Or

How can i generate happiness everyday?

A good question hooks the mind … so when you ask your mind a question that empowers ; its a step in the right direction!!

Now , what questions can you ask yourself or others that would help you find happiness everyday?

Are you flexible?

One of the main reasons of people being unhappy is that ” things dont go the way they want them to go” which makes them frustrated , angry and dissappointed .

As it been said various times Nothing is constant but change!

But we have programmed ourselves to resist change and keep things Consistent….. to be safe!!!

One of the keys to real happiness is Flexibililty !!

The person who is most flexible in behaviour is the one who is most likely to be happy in comparison to the one who wants to keep things in control!!

The reality is that there is only one thing we can control…

And that is…

OUR OWN REACTION!!!

and being flexible really helps in managing that reaction…

So , Practice being flexible when things dont go your way saying to yourself ” Ok , What can i learn from this situation that will help me achieve my desired outcome?” and trust that your smart mind will learn what is needs to learn inorder for you to get the results you want!!

Is your Problem Ant hill or a Mountain?

Have you ever wondered, “how do I move forward and get over this issue”?

Do you want to see your life from a different angle move beyond the problem, but you just can’t find the way out?

You are looking at things from the same point of view that created that problem in the first place .
as Albert Einstein said “We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them”.

So , the key is to see things from a different point of view …

and how do we do that?

A small way to practice this is to just imagine that you are in the future .. 2 weeks after the problem …. and now look back and see if :

IS YOUR PROBLEM AN ANT HILL OR MOUNTAIN?

Imagine how an Ant hill looks to an ant, and then compare that to how an Ant hill looks to us!

We see an Ant hill as a small mound of sand, but the tiny ant sees it as a mountain!

When you’re feeling stuck and your Ant hill looks like a mountain, what you have is a CHOICE!!

You can choose to think like an Ant and be stuck … OR you can choose to say to yourself that its just an obstacle to make grow ….

choice is yours!!

Do you think you can be happy….?

Hello There,

I want to start this journey by asking you this question ” Do you think you can be happy regardless of what life has to offer ? ”

before you answer this  question i want you to read the following:

If  you think you are beaten – you are,
If you think you dare not – you don’t,
If you’d like to win but think you can’t -
It’s almost certain that you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose – you’ve lost,
For in this world we find
Success begins with a fellow’s will -
It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you’re outclassed – you are,
You’ve got to think high to rise,
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.

Life’s battles don’t always go
To the strongest or fastest man,
