Do you have Goals?

Posted in Getting Started on September 16th, 2010

Don’t you sometimes wonder that life would be a lot easier if we all had a users manual and knew exactly what to do next in our lives..

The good news is that even though we weren’t born with the user manual we can create one to facilitate ourselves on our journey to happiness!!

Happiness has been defined as, “The progressive achievement of a worthy ideal, or goal.” When you are working progressively, step-by-step toward something that is important to you, you generate within yourself a continuous feeling of success and achievement.

When you feel more positive and motivated with a clear road map you feel more in control of your own life. You feel happier and more fulfilled and you DO  want to feel happier and fulfilled Don’t you?

The fact that you are  reading this article on goals means that you are ready to create your own user manual!!

So, The clock is ticking and if  you really want to take charge of your life then join me on a Life changing  FREE WEB-STREAMING EVENT on 17th September 3pm to 4pm (UK TIME)

How Full is your Cup?

Posted in Getting Started on September 8th, 2010

I came across this beautiful story about a university professor who went to visit a famous Zen Master.

While the master quietly served tea, the professor talked about Zen. The Master poured the Visitor’s cup to the brim, and then then kept pouring.

The Professor watched the overflowing cup until he could no longer restrain himself and said ” It’s overfull! No more will go in!”  the master replied ” you are like this cup, how can i show you Zen unless you first empty your cup!!”

The essence of this story is that to allow new learning we must be open and receptive like an empty cup and be willing to let go of some of the past programming.

Many people don’t  realize  the importance of making space for new things by letting go of the old things and  keep on overloading themselves with new stuff and feel stressed and tired most of the time!!

One of the ways to enjoy new things , new relationships , new clothes and even new learnings in life is to letting go of some of the things that have served  in the past  and now it’s time to let it go and make some space for new things to show up in  life!!

So, what things are you holding on to in your life that you may, perhaps, be served better by letting go of  to create space for new interests , new experiences and new thoughts?

The easiest way to make space around you is to go around your house to every single thing and ask yourself this question “Do I love this? ” and if you love it then keep it  and if the answer is NO! then donate it, bin it or give it away!!!

You would be surprised  how much lighter you would feel after letting go of all the physical clutter which was a representation of mental clutter!!

Good Luck With this one!

Until Next Time,

Love, Laugh and BE HAPPY!!

What do you REALLY Want?

Posted in Getting Started on August 31st, 2010

Have you ever been in a situation where you thought you really want something and worked hard to get there Only to realise that it wasn’t something you really wanted in the first place!!

So, how do we know that the thing we want is the thing we really want BEFORE working hard towards it?

Well, One of the great ways to figure that out is to learn to listen to our Body and trust the sensations in our physical body that gives us intuitive information about people and situations and choices around us.

This can be done just by asking simple question like :

How Does this Goal feel in my Body ?

and check how does your body respond to this question.. when you think about that goal…how do you feel because that is the Sat-Nav of life!! Its an indicator to know if that is the thing that you really want.

Our bodies have profound ways to respond to a situation that feels good and vice versa. its our ability to tune in to that feeling that would determined how accurate we get . As most of us have been so disconnected with our bodies that we miss out the signals we constantly get in the shape of headaches, sore throats, backaches and other physical symptoms..Its important to get the signals our bodies are providing us..

Once we learn to trust the messages our body is giving we can then identify what we really want by having a certain sensation that feels good.. it may be a tingling sensation in our hearts or a light feeling in our heads.. its different for different people.. .the more we trust the better it gets as the better it gets the more we trust!!

How we feel is the only thing that matters and if something feels right it ends up being right!!

Good luck with this one!
Until Next Time,

Do you help everyone?

Posted in Getting Started on August 2nd, 2010

Throughout history people like Mother Teresa, Florence Nightingale , Abdul Sattar Ehdi and other altruist are regarded very highly for their work in human wellbeing.

Its human nature to help and it’s a feel good factor too. When we help someone with our actions, money, or even just a kind word, it gives us good feeling as well.

So, when does helping others turn to ‘over care’? And what is the potential challenge with it?

Essentially, ‘Over care’ doesn’t come from that centred, noble part of us that drives the Mother Teresa’s of the world. On the other hand, it comes from a place of lack.  We use the help-other attitude to escape from ‘helping ourselves’ as sometimes it’s much easier to give advice to others then to examine our own lives and we use  “ helping everyone” syndrome as a distraction to not helping ourselves.

This pattern is usually present due to our programming which says that “ people like those people who help others and put others first “  and it’s a good pattern as long as it serves us in helping our own selves too.

For Instance, if you have limited time yourself to do your own chores and you get a call from someone to help them with their issues… if you are running that program in your mind, most likely you will drop everything that’s important to be done for you and go to the rescue to the other person?

The important point here is to recognise the intention of you helping that person…

Stop!!!      And ask yourself these questions

Am I doing this because I like this person  and want to help them?

      OR

I want this person to like me?

Learn to tell the difference between honouring your own desires to genuinely make a difference in someone’s life and merely going along with others wishes out of a need of approval

Remember you can’t belong to anyone else until you belong to yourself

Just quieting down and asking a few simple questions will help you clarify your intention…

Good Luck with that…

Until Next Time,

LOVE, LAUGH AND BE HAPPY

Is it about getting things done?

Posted in Getting Started on June 23rd, 2010

Most people go through life with Daily Planners, To Do Lists and Diaries to keep a track of their day – and that’s how they usually measure success.

So, at the end of the day if they haven’t achieved the results they set themselves up for, they feel like a failure which brings up the memories of the past where they hadn’t managed to get things done and didn’t feel  good enough,  not worthy of anything and so on so forth..

NOW, The QUESTION   is, WHAT IS THE SUCCESS SCALE?

How do you know when you are headed for a busy, unfulfilled life? where may be one day if you have managed to get all the things done on your agenda,  you might be able to say  “I have  had a successful day  today” or “I am Successful Today”!

The ANSWER is,   CHANGE YOUR SUCCESS SCALE …

Start measuring your success by how much you have enjoyed your day vs. how much you have got done!  This way you will take a direct route to happiness and fulfilment and will give yourself permission to feel Happy without any external measures.

YOUR TASK : is to think of 5 things this week that  brought you joy, happiness, peace or just a plain good feeling ..
and if you can’t think of many then  GUESS WHAT???  Your job is to create some of that to measure!!

Good luck with that…
Until Next Time,
Love , Laugh and BE Happy
